BJP's CR Kesavan Criticizes Hindenburg Report on SEBI Chief

BJP national spokesperson CR Kesavan criticized a recent Hindenburg report alleging misconduct by SEBI chairperson Madhabi Buch. Kesavan dismissed the report as an attempt to divert attention from a show cause notice issued to Hindenburg by SEBI. He accused the Congress party of leveraging the report to destabilize India's financial system.

BJP national spokesperson CR Kesavan has vehemently criticized the recent Hindenburg report, which alleges misconduct by SEBI chairperson Madhabi Buch. Kesavan stated the report 'resembles a typical shoot and scoot toolkit of a dubious short seller without any credibility'.

He dismissed the report as a retaliatory move against a show cause notice issued to Hindenburg by SEBI for alleged stock market rule violations. According to Kesavan, the Hindenburg report is an attempt to 'manufacture a false narrative to distract, divert and deflect attention' from the notice.

Kesavan further accused the Congress party and its INDI alliance of leveraging the report to discredit India's financial system. He highlighted that the Supreme Court had previously found SEBI's probe into the Adani Group, based on another Hindenburg report, as 'comprehensive and inspired confidence'.
