A fire erupted at the Santoshi Mata Temple in Mumbai's Chembur on Saturday, according to officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Prompt response actions were taken, with four fire engines dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze, successfully bringing the situation under control.
Thankfully, officials confirmed that no casualties resulted from the temple fire. However, investigations are still ongoing to determine the cause and further details are awaited as the situation develops.
This incident follows a tragic fire that occurred on October 6 in a Chembur shop, where five individuals, including two children, lost their lives. They were identified as Paris Gupta, aged 7, Manju Prem Gupta, 30, Anita Gupta, 39, Prem Gupta, 30, and Narendra Gupta, 10. The fire reportedly began in the electrical wiring area located on the shop's ground floor; authorities continue to examine this case as well.
