In the wake of the Ganderbal terror attack that claimed the lives of seven individuals, Jammu Additional Deputy Commissioner Shishir Gupta visited the family of Shashi Bhushan Abrol, one of the victims, on Monday. Gupta assured the family that the district administration is committed to expediting the required legal formalities and will make arrangements to return Abrol's body to his family.

Abrol was the sole breadwinner for his family, which includes his wife and two children. His brother expressed deep anguish, demanding justice and insisting that the terrorists responsible be held to account. He shared that Abrol last contacted his family at 6 pm on Sunday, and they learned of his death the following morning.

The attack also prompted strong reactions from prominent political figures. National Conference President Farooq Abdullah openly condemned the attack, attributing it to Pakistan, and called for an end to terrorism. Abdullah emphasized that such acts only add to misery and pointedly asserted that peace and dignity must prevail, reiterating that 'Kashmir Pakistan nahi Banega.'
