Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a speech during the National Unity Day parade in Kevadia, Gujarat, commended the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their rejection of separatism and terrorism. Modi asserted that this shift symbolizes a victory for India's Constitution and democracy, underscoring a significant end to decades-long propaganda.

Emphasizing a decade of progress, Modi stated that India has tackled various issues threatening national unity, noting that the resolve against terrorism has sent a clear message to adversaries. He highlighted that attempts to harm India would no longer be fruitful, reinforcing a strong stance against terrorism.

Criticizing the opposition, Modi argued that Baba Saheb Ambedkar's Constitution was not fully realized due to Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, which he claims has now been irrevocably abolished. He hailed the implementation of one country, one Constitution as fitting recognition to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary.
