Energy management giant Schneider Electric announced its ambitious expansion strategy in India, revealing plans to establish three additional manufacturing facilities. The announcement was made by CEO Olivier Blum during the Elecrama 2025 event.
Currently operating 31 plants across India, the new sites will be located in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmednagar, marking a significant investment in one of the company's key markets. Schneider is investing Rs 3,200 crore to expand its footprint by 1.2 million sq.ft. by 2026.
Blum emphasized the nation's thrust on digitalization and sustainability, noting that India's energy transition provides unprecedented growth opportunities. The firm is harnessing cutting-edge technologies such as digital grids and smart cities to drive this change, aiming to reduce emissions substantially in coming decades.
