Chirag Paswan Backs PM Modi Amid Bihar Visit, Criticizes Opposition

Union Minister Chirag Paswan on Tuesday robustly defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi following his visit to Bihar, underscoring the trust the public places in Modi’s leadership. Paswan sharply criticized the opposition for what he termed as unfounded allegations, emphasizing that India’s democratic system enables citizens to judge leaders based on their performance.

Addressing the media, Paswan remarked that the opposition has developed a habit of making accusations and then retreating. “But India is a democratic country, and the people are evaluating everything and making informed decisions,” he stated. Paswan contrasted Modi's governance with previous leaders', reminding how voters ousted a former Chief Minister for unfulfilled promises after ten years.

Paswan reiterated his faith in democracy's power to hold leaders accountable, asserting that those who fail to deliver will face electoral consequences. He praised Modi for keeping his promises, noting, “The people of this country have consistently trusted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, electing him for the third time, indicating his commitments have been seen through.”

Paswan further explained that Modi’s repeated electoral victories signify the fulfillment of promises. “Prime Minister Modi offers a guarantee of commitment fulfillment, which is no small feat to have a government and leader elected consecutively three times,” he explained. Critiquing past political missteps in Bihar, Paswan claimed that deceptive policies have left certain parties unable to return to power independently.
