The European Union is resolutely committed to eliminating its dependence on Russian gas, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen declared on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters in Brussels, von der Leyen emphasized, "I commit very clearly to phasing out the Russian gas... this is an absolute must."
While acknowledging successes in reducing reliance, she cautioned that vigilance is crucial in identifying and addressing potential loopholes that may obstruct their mission.
