Maharashtra Government Commits to Election Promises
Maharashtra's Deputy CM Eknath Shinde and CM Devendra Fadnavis reassured citizens of the Mahayuti-led NDA government's commitment to its election promises, including the 'Ladki Bahin' scheme. The government plans to provide 300 units of free electricity monthly and leverage AI for enhanced agricultural productivity.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, on Monday, emphasized the government's commitment to implementing the promises outlined in the election manifesto. 'Our commitments were deliberate, not printing errors. All will be executed within our five-year term,' Shinde affirmed post-budget presentation by Finance Minister Ajit Pawar.
Concurrently, CM Devendra Fadnavis assured that funding for the 'Ladki Bahin' scheme remains intact, promising Rs 2100 monthly to beneficiaries. Fadnavis also unveiled plans for 300 units of complimentary electricity and the integration of Artificial Intelligence in agriculture to boost productivity.
Highlighting fiscal trends, Fadnavis noted the state's fiscal deficit aligns at 2.9%, with a projection of 2.7% for the next year. He praised Maharashtra's top status in GST collection and Foreign Direct Investment and outlined initiatives for sustainable energy and women's economic empowerment through credit societies.
