In a significant move, the Delhi Police's south-east district unit has apprehended 11 Bangladeshi nationals, including two minors, residing illegally across various parts of the national capital. The crackdown forms part of an expansive drive targeting illegal immigrants, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravi Kumar Singh.

This drive, executed by the Anti-Narcotics Squad, Special Staff, and the Illegal Immigrants Detection Team, witnessed teams formed for rigorous verification processes. Among those detained are individuals aged between 24 and 75, identified by law enforcement during the operation.

Legal actions have commenced under the Foreigners Act, as authorities work to deport these individuals through the Foreigners Regional Registration Office. Meanwhile, interrogation reveals these immigrants entered India through the Benapole and Hakimpur borders, residing in Delhi without proper documents. Efforts continue to pinpoint networks aiding their illegal entry and stay.
