In a significant revelation, retired Karnataka High Court judge Justice Nagamohan Das has presented a report highlighting alleged corrupt practices by the previous BJP government in Karnataka. The report, dated March 12, 2025, particularly addresses accusations of a 40% commission in government tenders, as alleged by the Karnataka State Contractors Association.

The investigation focuses on alleged widespread corruption common in tender processes, shedding light on claims that public work contracts were burdened with extravagant commissions. Justice Das's report calls for a meticulous examination of contracts awarded between July 2019 and March 2023, spanning across five major state departments.

Further pointing to potential inefficiencies, a technical committee, led by Siddagangappara, was tasked with investigating sanctioned project estimates. This comprehensive inquiry extends beyond mere paperwork, including site inspections and audits, crucially analyzing modernization efforts of the Narayanpur canal system.

Justice Das's commission, cognizant of the crucial public interest aspect, has conducted interviews and compiled a report encompassing critical findings and recommendations. The thoroughness of this investigation reflects the seriousness of the charges, demanding accountability from implicated officials to restore public trust in governance processes.
