On Wednesday, Green Portfolio, a noted portfolio management service provider, announced the launch of its Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) with a target of Rs 300 crore.
The company has already secured over 50% of this target from both current and prospective investors, reflecting strong demand for the new Category III fund focusing on pre-IPO, private market, and exclusive listed equity investment opportunities.
According to Divam Sharma, Co-Founder and Fund Manager at Green Portfolio, this foray into the AIF space is a strategic next step designed to offer clients unique investment options alongside their existing Portfolio Management Services (PMS) offerings. With a broader focus on small, mid, and micro-cap stocks, they aim to achieve sustainable returns and scale their AIF assets to Rs 1,000 crore in the coming years.
Overall, India's AIF sector continues to grow as investors seek out structured investment options beyond the traditional market landscape.
