Uttarakhand Boosts Healthcare With 1,232 New Nursing Officers & New Medical College Infrastructure

In a significant move towards enhancing healthcare services in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami distributed appointment letters to 1,232 newly recruited nursing officers at Government Doon Medical College in Patel Nagar on Thursday.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the college's new auditorium, built at a cost of 26 crores, and emphasized the crucial role of medical staff, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. He praised their selfless dedication and expressed confidence that the new officers will elevate state healthcare services.
Dhami highlighted the Ayushman Yojana, which has provided cashless treatment to over 11 lakh patients. Efforts include establishing medical colleges in every district and launching heli ambulance services for remote areas. Medical Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat and Medical Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar also noted ongoing recruitment and infrastructure improvement efforts.
