A young boy from Baramulla was injured as the Pakistan Army continued its ceasefire violations, targeting civilian areas across the Jammu and Kashmir border following Operation Sindoor. The boy is one of several locals injured in the shelling by Pakistani forces overnight. Victims are currently receiving treatment at Baramulla's Government Medical College (GMC).

Defense sources reported that shelling by Pakistan resulted in the death of 15 civilians, with 43 others injured since last night, affecting Poonch and Tangdhar. The attacks have sown panic among villagers and caused extensive damage to infrastructure, including several homes. The violence has left a trail of shattered windows, cracked walls, and littered debris across the affected areas.

In response, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah convened an emergency meeting to address the ongoing crisis. The Indian military, in a coordinated effort with Army, Navy, and Air Force units, launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The operation followed a devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh hailed the operation, noting it displayed the valor, precision, and sensitivity of the Indian Armed Forces. Singh commended the forces for ensuring civilians were unharmed during the operations and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his unwavering support. Operation Sindoor represents India's most ambitious military action inside Pakistan since the 1971 conflict.

The operations struck nine terror targets using precision munitions--four in Pakistan, encompassing Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot, and five in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The operation has been characterized as a significant strategic victory for India, showcasing its military might and resolve against terrorism. (ANI)
