Global Call for Peace: World Embraces Yoga on International Day

On the occasion of the 11th International Day of Yoga, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla highlighted yoga's global recognition for its scientific merits, noting its integration into daily routines worldwide. "Yoga is India's heritage, now appreciated globally," Birla commented following a yoga session at the Parliament House.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spearheaded a yoga event in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, commending the Indian Army's valor in Operation Sindoor. Singh cited a recent terrorist incident in Pahalgam as an effort to disrupt India's societal harmony, asserting that a robust response thwarted these attempts, forcing Pakistan into a temporary standstill in the operation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking in Visakhapatnam, urged nations to adopt yoga not merely as a traditional practice but as a collective global responsibility. Modi called for 'Yoga for Humanity,' advocating for peace and unity through a global yoga movement along the Visakhapatnam coastline.
