Under the ambit of Operation Sindhu, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje welcomed 224 Indian nationals who returned from Israel on Wednesday morning. They arrived at 10:30 am on an Indian Air Force aircraft. The operation has now seen 818 nationals safely returned from Israel amidst growing regional unrest.

Minister of State Karandlaje emphasized the government's priority of Indian nationals' safety in escalating conflicts. 'Safety and security of Indian nationals remain a priority,' the Ministry of External Affairs shared in a post. The government also highlighted that citizens from both Iran and Israel, as well as those from Nepal and Sri Lanka, have been evacuated under the operation.

Earlier today, a separate flight carrying 282 Indians from Iran landed safely in New Delhi, marking the total number of evacuees under Operation Sindhu at 2,858. This massive evacuation effort comes in response to the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, which reached a tentative resolution with a ceasefire agreement on Tuesday.
