Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraaj, voiced alarm on Monday regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Bihar's voter list, suggesting that it may disenfranchise many impoverished residents. In an interaction with ANI, Kishor criticized the Election Commission for not implementing a transparent and just process.
Kishor elaborated on his concerns, stating that the Commission lacked transparency in notifying individuals whose names are being excised from the voter list. 'The Election Commission fails to provide a clear explanation for the deletions,' Kishor added, expressing hope for justice in this matter.
Samajwadi Party MP Zia Ur Rahman Barq also criticized the SIR, advocating in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for its immediate cessation. Barq expressed dissatisfaction with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's response about Operation Sindoor, prompting questions about unresolved issues related to terrorism.
