Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized India's remarkable progress in the dairy sector, noting a 70% growth over the past 11 years. Speaking at the inauguration of the Sabar Dairy Plant, Shah highlighted India's standing as the world's fastest-growing dairy sector. The newly opened facility, built for Rs 325 crore, will enhance dairy production and employment.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the dairy industry has made strides in cooperative development. Shah announced plans for an increase in milk processing capacity to 100 million litres by 2028. Additionally, over 75,000 new dairy cooperatives are set to be established under the White Revolution 2.0 initiative.

The Sabar Dairy plant, the largest of its kind in India, will serve various Northern states, boosting local farmer incomes. The growth of the cooperative dairy sector is set to empower millions of farmers, especially women, across nine states. These efforts are part of an overarching strategy to modernize and expand the nation's dairy capabilities.
