Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his tradition of celebrating Diwali with the armed forces, visiting the Indian Navy's INS Vikrant off Goa's coast. Modi's visit illuminated the festival's essence, highlighting gratitude and solidarity with those in service.

Addressing the soldiers, Modi remarked on the symbolism of the day, with the vast ocean horizons and the mighty INS Vikrant reflecting power and resilience. The indigenously-built carrier epitomizes India's 'Aatma Nirbhar Bharat' vision. The ship, notable for its automation and aviation capacities, symbolizes India's growing maritime strength.

Diwali, a five-day festival, begins with Dhanteras and culminates with Bhai Dooj. Traditionally, people worship deities for prosperity. Modi's gesture of celebrating near the Indo-Pak border last year and aboard India's premier naval vessel this year highlights his commitment to the forces that protect the nation.
