In a confident assertion, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday projected a National Democratic Alliance victory in the upcoming Bihar elections. Speaking in Almora, Dhami cited robust public support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the concept of double-engine governments as key factors for the NDA's anticipated success.

Dhami emphasized, "Elections nationwide are witnessing public preference for double-engine governments driven by PM Modi. Rapid development and meeting people's expectations are central to these governments. Similar success in Bihar will soon be realized under Modi's leadership, amid strong public backing." Bihar's assembly elections comprising 243 seats will take place in two phases, on November 6 and 11, with results due on November 14. Additionally, bye-elections across eight seats in seven states and Union Territories are slated for November 11.

Discussing state development projects, Dhami reviewed progress at Jageshwar Dham, initiated post-Modi's visit. He stated, "Prime Minister Modi's visit catalyzed a master plan for Jageshwar Dham. After assessing progress, I am committed to expedited completion, informed by stakeholder input." Dhami also inaugurated and laid the foundations for Rs 76 crore worth of projects in Almora, expected to significantly enhance regional infrastructure.

Reflecting on governance integrity, Dhami affirmed his administration's zero-tolerance for corruption in recruitment, marking 26,500 completed recruitments with negligible malpractices. "Our resolve is strict against recruitment corruption and irregularities," he declared. Despite one case prompting state investigation and CBI involvement, Dhami reassured the rescheduling of examinations to ensure transparency.
