Tragedy Strikes Upscale Goa Club: Owner Pledges Support Amid Condolences
After a deadly fire at Birch By Romeo Lane in North Goa claimed 25 lives, owner Saurabh Luthra expressed deep sorrow and assured full cooperation with authorities and affected families. The local court remanded four managers to police custody, and a Magisterial inquiry has been initiated by the government.

A day after a tragic fire at the Birch By Romeo Lane club in North Goa resulted in 25 fatalities, the establishment's owner, Saurabh Luthra, voiced profound grief and pledged extensive support to authorities and affected families. The fire broke out early Sunday at the upscale Arpora venue.
Luthra stated that the management stands in 'unwavering solidarity with the bereaved families and the injured' and extended 'heartfelt condolences.' In an Instagram post, he expressed the management's deep sorrow over the tragedy at Birch and assured full cooperation.
Additionally, Luthra affirmed the club's commitment to providing 'every possible form of assistance' to those grappling with this loss. Meanwhile, four individuals, including three General Managers and a Bar Manager, have been arrested in connection with the fire and remanded to state police custody. Goa's DGP Alok Kumar reported an FIR against owners Saurav and Gaurav Luthra.
The Goa government has launched a committee of senior police, forensic, and emergency service officials to investigate the incident, with a Magisterial inquiry initiated. The government expects a report on the procedural lapses leading to the fire within a week.
