A fire erupted at a chemical factory in the village of Makhinga, located in Surat's Palsana area, on Wednesday. According to fire officials, fire tenders were promptly dispatched to the location to battle the flames, with efforts to control the fire still ongoing. Fire Officer Rishi Soni stated, "We received a call this morning concerning a blaze in a chemical factory. Fire tenders were immediately deployed to the site, and firefighting efforts are currently underway. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined."

Further details are awaited as the firefighting efforts continue. Notably, on December 12, a significant fire broke out at a plastics raw material company in Valsad, Gujarat, prompting local fire authorities to deploy multiple fire tenders to tackle the blaze. Visuals from Tumb village in the Umbergaon taluka of Valsad displayed several firefighting officials rushing to douse the flames engulfing a godown. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported thus far, with at least six fire tenders actively involved in extinguishing the fire.

Additionally, on Thursday evening, December 11, a fire incident occurred at a godown in Surat. Surat Chief Fire Officer Basantkumar Pareek reported to ANI that storage comprised wedding-associated wooden items, alongside flammable materials like mattresses, cushions, and PVC chairs, raising concerns of fire escalation. About 50 fire personnel were engaged in the operation, successfully preventing the spread of the fire without any reported casualties, as confirmed by the fire officer.
