A massive Russian attack has left around 180,000 Ukrainian consumers without electricity, Ukraine's acting energy minister, Artem Nekrasov, reported on Thursday. The attack targeted five regions, further escalating the ongoing conflict.
In a statement on Telegram, Nekrasov identified the regions impacted by the attack: the southern regions of Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia, the central regions of Cherkasy and Dnipropetrovsk, and the north-eastern region of Sumy.
This disruption underscores the growing vulnerability of Ukraine's infrastructure amidst ongoing tensions and highlights the human cost of geopolitical strife in the region.
