In a dramatic political development, Karnataka Minister Ramalinga Reddy announced his resignation from the state cabinet merely two days post-induction. At a press conference, Reddy made it clear that his allegiance to the Congress party remains intact, after a longstanding association spanning over 50 years.
Reddy, while showcasing his resignation letter, emphasized, "I am still in the Congress party; I have not resigned from the party." He reminded the public of his ministerial roles under previous chief ministers M Veerappa Moily and SM Krishna, underscoring his enduring service within the party.
Despite being assigned the Major and Medium Irrigation portfolio, reports suggest Reddy harbored aspirations for the Bengaluru development portfolio.
