In a significant move to bolster India's space industry, the 10th IN-SPACe Industry Connect saw the Gujarat government, led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, commit to enhancing India's space ecosystem. On the first day, Union Minister Piyush Goyal witnessed the announcement of a Space Manufacturing Park at GIDC Khoraj, a strategic step to strengthen industry collaboration and infrastructure.

Gujarat's Minister for Science and Technology, Arjun Modhwadia, unveiled plans for Common Technical Facilities within the park, designed primarily to aid start-ups and MSMEs. These facilities are poised to offer crucial testing and validation infrastructure typically cost-prohibitive for individual development, thus accelerating product cycles and ameliorating the reliability of space systems.

IN-SPACe will contribute Rs 100 crore for equipment, while the Gujarat government covers construction and operational costs. This initiative lowers entry barriers for new players, enabling local testing and certification of systems and components. Secretary P. Bharati and Mission Director Neha Kumari highlighted the focus on comprehensive spacecraft and payload development, promising long-term growth for India's space sector.
