Bank of England Deputy Governor Ben Broadbent said on Thursday the publication of the bank's forecasts was not aimed at sending a message to the financial markets. "I don't think there is any particular message we're trying to send financial markets," Broadbent told a news conference.

"Nothing much has happened to prices in financial markets since we published this forecast. The main message ... is a broader one which is that we think policy has to remain restrictive for quite some time."
