Revolutionizing Ayush Accessibility: Multilingual AI to Bridge Language Gaps

The Ayush ministry has partnered with the Digital India BHASHINI Division to facilitate faster transcription and translation of Ayush knowledge into various Indian languages using AI technology. This collaboration, part of the 'BHASHINI Rajyam - A BHASHINI Sahayogi Programme,' aims to enhance multilingual capabilities and improve healthcare accessibility across India.

In a significant step towards bridging language barriers in healthcare, the Ayush ministry has inked an MoU with the Digital India BHASHINI Division. The partnership aims to expedite the transcription and translation of Ayush knowledge systems using AI-powered language technology, fostering wider accessibility in multiple Indian languages.

The initiative, titled 'BHASHINI Rajyam - A BHASHINI Sahayogi Programme,' will integrate India's national language digital infrastructure across the Ayush ministry's digital platforms. This collaboration is set to enhance the reach of healthcare services and ensure the Ayush Grid's applications and solutions are available in all 22 scheduled languages recognized under the Indian Constitution.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, emphasized the importance of making Ayush knowledge accessible in various Indian languages for inclusive healthcare. With focused efforts on developing multilingual terminologies and AI models, this joint venture marks a transformative step towards a multilingual and citizen-centric digital healthcare ecosystem in India, as highlighted by Dr. Kavita Jain, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush.
