The ancient city of Janakpur in Nepal is buzzing with anticipation as it readies itself for the first Deepotsav following the consecration of the Ram Temple. Historically associated with Ayodhya, Janakpur, the birthplace of Goddess Sita, is decked out with vibrant decorations for the approaching Diwali festival, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.

In an exclusive interview with ANI, Mahanth Ram Roshan Das highlighted the importance of this year's Deepotsav. He remarked, "The consecration of the Ram Lala temple on January 22 was a dream come true for Sanatanis worldwide. This upcoming Deepotsav will be special, as both Ram and Sita's images will be adorned for the first time since the temple's construction." Ayodhya is also preparing for its celebrations, with plans to illuminate the Sarayu River banks with 2.5 million diyas on October 30, a day before Diwali, marking the first Deepotsav post-Pran Pratishtha.

Janakpur residents share in this excitement, as lights brighten the streets in preparation for Deepawali. Local resident Amar Nath Gupta noted, "This is the first Deepawali after the Pran Pratistha of the Ram Temple, and Janakpur, Ram's in-laws' place, is bustling with enthusiasm." Plans include painting, construction, and lighting decorations for a memorable celebration. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government attempts a Guinness World Record for the largest display of earthen lamps, targeting 55 ghats in Ayodhya.

Complementing these efforts is a grand exhibition at Ram Katha Park in Ayodhya, organized by the Lalit Kala Academy. Running from October 28 to 30, the event features art pieces depicting the Ramayana, offering a cultural feast for attendees. As Diwali, the Festival of Lights, symbolizes good triumphing over evil globally, participants will decorate homes with rangoli patterns, light diyas, and engage in festivities. The celebrations include Lakshmi prayers for prosperity, sharing sweets, exchanging gifts, and fireworks, unified in a spirit of hope and togetherness.
