In a climate of uncertainty and hope, election expert Munira Khan has highlighted the pressing concerns about the law and order situation in Bangladesh ahead of the impending elections. Speaking to ANI, Khan expressed optimism for the possibility of free and fair elections, despite existing challenges.

Khan has dedicated three decades to promoting credible elections, and she notes a palpable difference this year as the nation anticipates a transparent electoral process. She underscores the collective effort of stakeholders, including the Election Commission and political parties, to ensure the integrity of the polls.

However, Khan points out the presence of unknown elements resistant to a fair electoral process, cautioning that the consequences of failing to deliver a universally accepted election could be dire. Her comments follow the political upheaval that led to significant changes in Bangladesh's leadership, with Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus temporarily at the helm as elections approach on February 12.
