In response to rising tensions in West Asia and the Gulf, India reiterated its urgent appeal on Monday for a rapid de-escalation and diplomatic efforts to restore peace. The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted the 100-day-long conflict's severe impact on global stability and economy, urging an immediate resolution.

"India deeply regrets the renewed hostilities in West Asia," declared the ministry. The conflict, sustained for over 100 days, has inflicted significant human suffering and disrupted global economic dynamics. "We urge all parties to de-escalate immediately, protect civilians, and pursue a diplomatic solution to ensure regional stability," the statement emphasized.

As New Delhi called for peace, recent military escalations have intensified, marked by multi-city engagements and strategic airstrikes. The 100th day of the Israel-Iran conflict witnessed further hostilities, jeopardizing the fragile truce and threatening to spiral into full regional war. In the maritime sector, the Iran-backed Houthis declared a ban on Israeli shipping on the Red Sea, escalating tensions further.
