US airlifts medical items, food aid to Egypt for Gaza civilians

The United States on Tuesday airlifted over 54,000 pounds of medical items and food aid to a humanitarian logistics hub in Egypt for delivery for civilians in Gaza, the White House said.
This was the first of three planned deliveries in the coming days, U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan said in a statement.
