Polling Progress and Challenges Mark Final Phase of Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections

Uttar Pradesh reported a 46.83% voter turnout by 3 PM in the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections on Saturday. Thirteen constituencies, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Varanasi, participated. Issues such as voter boycotts and accusations of rigging were reported. Duddhi's assembly bypoll also witnessed 48.28% polling.

Uttar Pradesh witnessed a voter turnout of 46.83% by 3 PM during the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections on Saturday, according to the Election Commission (EC).

Voting is ongoing in 13 constituencies across the state, including Varanasi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking his third consecutive term.

Challenges marked the polling process, with voters in some villages boycotting due to unmet demands for infrastructure and accusations of rigging and slow voting emerging. Despite this, the Duddhi assembly bypoll registered a 48.28% turnout.
