Panun Kashmir on Monday lambasted the BJP leadership, accusing them of politicizing the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus to gain Hindu votes nationwide. The organization, which advocates for Kashmiri Pandits' rights, alleged that the BJP-led Centre has neglected the displaced community for over a decade.

Despite the abrogation of Article 370 and Jammu and Kashmir's reorganization, the BJP government has demonstrated indifference and bias towards Kashmiri Pandits, said Panun Kashmir chairman Ajay Chrungoo. He accused the BJP of using the issue to criticize opponents and garner votes, while treating Kashmiri Pandits as second-class citizens.

Chrungoo emphasized the community's political independence, stressing that they are not affiliated with any party and will pursue their freedom independently. He condemned the BJP for failing the community and the nation, and called attention to the growing strength of terrorist and separatist forces in the region.

Panun Kashmir vowed to persist in their struggle for a separate Union Territory for Kashmiri Hindus' rehabilitation. Chrungoo criticized the BJP's alleged anti-Kashmiri Pandit bias and accused the government of dismissing the community's issues. He also condemned the failure to increase sustenance allowances amid rising living costs and accused the government of denying the community's suffering and failing to address their security concerns.
