Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle in Tamil Nadu Government

The Tamil Nadu government announced a significant bureaucratic reshuffle on Tuesday, transferring several senior officials. Principal Home Secretary P Amudha has been replaced by Dheeraj Kumar. Other notable transfers include Dr J Radhakrishnan and Kumar Jayant. The reshuffle aims to streamline departmental functions and improve governance.

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday executed a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring multiple senior officials. Principal Home Secretary P Amudha, IAS, has been replaced by Dheeraj Kumar, who was previously the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, Information Technology and Digital Services Department.

Dheeraj Kumar will now take over the Home, Prohibition, and Excise Department. Additionally, the government has reassigned several other prominent officials. Dr J Radhakrishnan, previously the Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Cooperation, Food, and Consumer Protection Department, replacing Dr K Gopal.

In another notable transfer, senior IAS officer Kumar Jayant has been assigned as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government, Information Technology and Digital Services Department, as per the Public (Special A) Department order.
