RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday criticized the Waqf (Amendment) Bill introduced in the Lok Sabha, describing it as a 'well-planned conspiracy' by the BJP-led NDA government to polarize the population.
Yadav emphasized that RJD MPs would robustly oppose the bill in both Houses of Parliament, following consultations with numerous Muslim organizations and leaders.
The bill has been assigned to a joint parliamentary committee for scrutiny after heated debates, with government officials claiming it does not aim to interfere with mosque operations and opposition calling it a targeted attack on Muslims and constitutional rights.
