Manish Sisodia Emerges from Jail, Lauds Democracy and Constitution

Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia walked out of Tihar Jail on Friday after spending 17 months behind bars. He attributed his release to the power of the Constitution and democracy, asserting that these same principles will work to free Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The Supreme Court granted Sisodia bail earlier in the day in corruption and money laundering cases tied to the Delhi excise policy ''scam.'' The court cited his prolonged detention without trial as a deprivation of his right to speedy justice. Kejriwal, also in Tihar Jail, is embroiled in the same case.

Upon release, Sisodia was greeted by party workers and leaders with rose petals. Expressing gratitude, he emphasized that the legal battle was won through the Constitution, which has increased his supporters. He thanked the Supreme Court for upholding constitutional values, criticized dictatorship, and expressed indebtedness to Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Sisodia raised slogans for Kejriwal's release, marking it as an emotional moment for his supporters.
