Man Re-arrested for Repeatedly Abducting and Raping Teenager

After being released on bail for kidnapping a 17-year-old girl, Veer Nath Pandey allegedly abducted her again and sexually assaulted her for a month. The girl was eventually abandoned near a railway station and reported the abuse. Pandey has been re-arrested, and further legal actions are in progress.

In a shocking turn of events, a man previously jailed for kidnapping a 17-year-old girl has been re-arrested for allegedly abducting and repeatedly raping the same teenager. The accused, Veer Nath Pandey from Bihar's Bhojpur district, was arrested Monday, police confirmed.

Pandey, who had secured bail following his initial arrest for kidnapping in May 2024, is accused of kidnapping the teenager again on August 5, 2024. She suffered a month-long ordeal of sexual assault. Her father had filed the initial complaint after she went missing, leading to an FIR for kidnapping.

Inspector Manoj Kumar of the Koirauna police station said, 'After his release on bail, Pandey abducted the victim while she was going to defecate. On September 2, he abandoned her near Jangiganj railway station.' The girl immediately reported the severe sexual abuse. Police confirmed the rape through medical examination. An FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and POCSO Act has been filed, and legal proceedings are ongoing.
