Leaders condemned the Labour Codes as a ploy by the Modi regime to strip away workers' hard-won rights and demanded their repeal along with a national Labour Conference to discuss genuine reforms.

The statement from the unions argued that these codes favor corporate interests, undermining both international labour standards and human rights.

Unions vowed to escalate their fight for fair collective bargaining and improved working conditions. They plan to coordinate with farmers' groups for joint actions to press their demands.

The central trade unions involved include INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, SEWA, AICCTU, LPF, and UTUC.
