Authorities have successfully intercepted and shot down a drone that was flying over the protected Ram temple area in Ayodhya during a routine trial of an anti-drone security system, officials confirmed.

Upon interception, a bomb disposal squad closely examined the drone and found no security threats. However, a case was promptly filed at the Ram Janmabhoomi police station. Flying drones over this site is strictly forbidden, and security forces remain vigilant.

The drone's operator has been traced and was reportedly using the drone to upload video content to social media platforms. Legal actions are being pursued against the individual. This state-of-the-art anti-drone system is part of broader security measures, first used during the consecration of Ram Lalla's idol earlier this year and at major events such as the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.
