Despite Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's announcement of a social security scheme for gig workers, Londhe criticized the state government for its inaction. He cited examples of protective legislation in Karnataka and expressed the urgent necessity for similar laws in Maharashtra.

Addressing the current conditions facing gig workers, Londhe lamented overburdensome tasks imposed by companies, describing the lack of grievance redressal systems and legislative support as unacceptable. The Congress party, he asserted, will continue to advocate for these workers' rights during the budget session.
