A 39-year-old cab driver, identified as Chandrashekhar, confessed to strangling his wife after turning himself in at a police station, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
Following his confession, police visited the scene and arrested Chandrashekhar, citing allegations rooted in his suspicion over his wife's fidelity as the cause of the grim incident.
A senior officer revealed that the couple's tumultuous relationship, often marked by disputes over the wife's constant phone conversations, led to the fatal altercation. Their two young sons were at school at the time of the murder.
