Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma reaffirmed Rajasthan's resolve to bolster law and order with a focus on modernizing the state's prison system. Addressing a high-level meeting with the Home Department, Sharma assured that sufficient resources are in place to meet the security needs of all jails.
This move comes after a serious death threat was received by Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa from inmates at Jaipur Central Jail, resulting in the detention of three suspects.
Sharma instructed senior jail officials to intensify efforts against unauthorized mobile use within prison walls and called for regular surveillance checks. The Chief Minister also mandated the installation of more CCTV cameras and the swift completion of a new video conferencing room to facilitate virtual court hearings for inmates.
