Swift Action: NDRF Rises to the Challenge in Jharkhand

A 30-member team of the NDRF has been deployed in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum for enhanced disaster response. Following the approval by the state's disaster department, the team started operations by rescuing a person from Jadugora reservoir. The unit will handle floods, gas leaks, and other emergencies.

In a decisive move to bolster disaster management efforts, a 30-member unit of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been stationed in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district as of Thursday.

The deployment follows the advocacy of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthy and has been ratified by the state's disaster management department, according to an official statement.

The team, comprising both officers and personnel, is tasked with tackling flood scenarios, waterlogging, gas leaks, and executing relief and rescue operations. Already, the unit showcased its capabilities by rescuing an individual from Jadugora reservoir, located approximately 30 kilometers from Jamshedpur.
