The Palghar Zilla Parishad has embarked on an ambitious project to digitise the service books of over 10,000 officers and employees, an official said on Sunday. The initiative aims to advance the 'paperless office' concept by ensuring that all employment details are accessible online.

The digital transformation will provide information on appointments, promotions, transfers, salary increments, educational qualifications, and retirement plans. This reduced reliance on paperwork is ushering in a new era of efficiency and transparency, allowing employees to access necessary documents without bureaucratic hurdles.

Chief Executive Officer Manoj Ranade has highlighted the project's critical role in the 150-day action program initiated by the chief minister, intended to accelerate the region's development. The district administration is moving swiftly to implement this significant change, emphasizing its potential impact on government operations.
