In Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan found himself under intense scrutiny as opposition leaders launched a fierce attack over alleged police misconduct. The Congress-led UDF demanded action following reports of custodial torture and urged the CM to relinquish his Home portfolio.

Amid accusations, Leader of the Opposition V D Satheesan questioned Vijayan's commitment to addressing police abuses, citing an assault on a Youth Congress activist. With dissatisfaction mounting, opposition members staged a walkout, further underscoring their demands for accountability.

Vijayan, defending his administration, highlighted ongoing reforms while admitting lingering issues within the police force.
