Delhi Police Cracks Down on Counterfeit Engine Oil Filter Racket

Delhi Police have arrested two men involved in manufacturing and selling counterfeit Fleetguard engine oil filters. Raids in Ashok Vihar and Shalimar Bagh led to the seizure of 1,698 fake filters. The police continue to investigate the supply chain of these counterfeit products.

In a significant bust, Delhi Police dismantled a network responsible for producing and selling counterfeit engine oil filters, arresting two individuals tied to trademark violations, officials revealed on Sunday.

Identified as Dinesh Gupta, 64, and Rajesh Gupta, the suspects allegedly posed as authorised distributors of the Fleetguard brand, deceiving both wholesalers and consumers.

Acting on a complaint from Fleetguard's brand protection manager, Yashpal Sapra, police seized a total of 1,698 counterfeit filters from operations in Ashok Vihar and Shalimar Bagh. The investigation continues to map the supply chain and identify further perpetrators involved in this illicit trade.
