Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced scrutiny into Tamil Nadu's measures against RSS activities on government premises. He has instructed the Chief Secretary to delve into the matter following a suggestion by cabinet colleague, Minister Priyank Kharge.
Kharge, the Minister for Electronics, IT/BT, and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, urged a statewide prohibition of RSS functions in schools and public areas, arguing they disrupt national unity and constitutional integrity.
In his October 4 correspondence, Kharge, son of Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, expressed concerns over RSS conducting 'shakhas' at government-aided venues, potentially instilling divisive ideologies in youths.
