Wall Street experienced a lackluster opening on Thursday, following unimpressive earnings reports from major corporations Tesla and IBM, which contributed to a somber investor mood.
At the opening bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped by 14.50 points, reflecting a marginal decrease of 0.04% to a level of 46,570.06.
Meanwhile, the S&P 500 managed to climb 6.03 points or 0.09% to reach 6,705.15, and the Nasdaq Composite also saw a slight increase of 6.99 points or 0.07% bringing it to 22,755.88, amidst ongoing U.S.-China trade tensions.
