Kerala's ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) coalition is experiencing internal rifts, as discussions between Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPI leaders on Monday failed to address their disagreements over the PM SHRI schools scheme.

The dispute originated when Chief Minister Vijayan met with CPI Secretary Binoy Viswam and other ministers to discuss signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for participating in the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India initiative.

Despite cordial talks, no resolution was reached, leaving the CPI's concerns unaddressed, as they continue to oppose the initiative, suspecting it aligns with a broader agenda to influence educational policies.
