Brown Sugar Bust: A Major Drug Operation Uncovered in Odisha

In a significant drug enforcement operation, police in Odisha's Khurda district have arrested seven individuals linked to illegal activities involving brown sugar. The bust occurred in Daleisahi village, where officers conducted a strategic raid based on provided intelligence.

According to Superintendent of Police Vivekananda Sharma, authorities confiscated 314.97 grams of brown sugar, with an estimated market value exceeding Rs 30 lakh. The operation also resulted in the recovery of Rs 4 lakh in cash, five vehicles, and a country-made firearm, further indicating the scale and seriousness of the illicit trade.

Among those apprehended were six men and one woman. The detailed planning and execution of this operation reflect the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking in the region.
