During a key address at the annual District Collector-SP joint conference, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi underscored zero tolerance towards corruption, urging district collectors to avoid unethical practices. Majhi emphasized that the government's image must be preserved, and inefficiencies will not be tolerated.
Majhi highlighted concerns about young officers, including UPSC and OPSC toppers, engaging in corrupt activities despite promising careers. He stated that the state government's vigilance wing is actively working to eliminate such practices effectively.
The Chief Minister advocated for increased field visits, enhanced citizen engagement, and efficient use of technology for administration. Other notable speakers included Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida and Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari.
